J.M.Smuker’s Co. has recently issued a voluntary recall that When Jif will be back on Shelves. The recall due to potential salmonella contamination is on various products, including Jif peanut butter.

The recall has included 50 peanut butter products, which has affected other companies that purchase and use these products. The recall could cost J.M. Smucker’s company is worth more than 125 million dollars.
Although the recall was initially limited to some peanut butter products, the company has expanded to include other things, such as Fresh Del Monte Portofino items. Learn more about the recall below.

It is a commonly asked question among Jif Peanut Butter lovers when will the peanut butter be back in stores? No one knows the fixed date properly because the company has not informed us about it. During the voluntary peanut butter recall, the company removed dozens of items from the store on 20th May. These items contain thousands of peanut butter jars. Jif has asked the customers to dispose of the peanut butter jars between the code 1274425-210425 because they don’t want to harm their customers. So if you are one of them, stay away from the pots, dispose of them and wait for when they are back in store.
What is Salmonella?
Salmonella is a type of bacteria that causes severe and fatal infections in those who eat it, especially young, frail, and the person with weak immune systems. Salmonella belongs to the Enterobacteriaceae family, which affects the human body’s digestive tract. Diarrhea is a common disease caused by Salmonella.
People can experience typhoid and arthritis due to Salmonella. The Symptoms of Salmonella infections include nausea, high fever, headache, vomiting, and Diarrhoea.

Most of the Jif recall products include peanut butter jars. However, since peanut butter exists in other products, the company has to issue a recall for specific Jif peanut butter snack packs that they sold between 2021 to May 2022. Certain products affected by the recall include:
- Apple with peanut butter, 5.5 oz.
- Apples and peanut butter dip, 6oz.
- Peanut butter snack packs, 5.25 oz.
- PB and J sandwich, 6.4 oz.
